How to engage staff in information security

You do not need to ask staff to repeat an entire course to keep a topic in mind. With one short question, you invite them to think about a situation they might encounter at work.

One question in your inbox

Staff receive one quiz question by email, once or twice a week, for example. Together, we choose a frequency that suits your organisation.

One click, instant feedback

Staff choose an answer and read the explanation straight away. Even when they get it wrong, they learn how to handle that situation.

Learning together

Staff earn points, compare their answers and discuss the questions with colleagues. They learn from each other too.

Staff can often still find time for one short question.

Keep knowledge front of mind

With or without e-learning

You may already use e-learning for privacy and security. You can build on it with Redgrasp. With an occasional short quiz question, you help staff keep using what they have learned.

Staff practise with a different situation each time. One week they assess a suspicious email; the next they work out how to share a file safely. You regularly revisit these topics without asking staff to repeat an entire module each time.

You can also use microlearning on its own, without a separate e-learning course. Through short quiz questions and explanations, staff explore new topics and practise with familiar situations. We tailor the content to your policies and working practices.

Relevant to everyone

The choices you make every day

Anyone who clicks a phishing link, shares a password or sends a file to the wrong person can unintentionally expose sensitive information. Help staff recognise risks and know what to do.

Phishing & social engineering

How do you verify an unexpected request from a ‘colleague’, supplier or helpdesk?

Passwords & MFA

Why use unique passwords? And what should you do with a sign-in request you did not initiate?

Personal data & privacy

Which information do you actually need? Who can you share it with, and when should you keep it private?

Safe sharing & storage

How do you send sensitive information to the right recipient through an approved, secure channel?

A secure workspace

You step away from your screen. What information are you leaving on your desk or in view?

Reporting concerns & incidents

Already clicked or sent a file to the wrong person? Know where to turn and report it promptly.

Build awareness of information security
and other topics

One platform for more topics

Alongside privacy and security, you can use Redgrasp to raise awareness of topics such as quality, customer service, sustainability and new working practices. You choose the themes that matter to your organisation and use the same platform for all of them. Staff take part in the same familiar way each time, through short quiz questions by email.

Built around your working practices

We do the preparation for you

Our Boost team can write the quiz questions and explanations for you. We also help set up the campaign and tailor the content to your policies, working practices and audiences. You can also create quiz questions and explanations yourself with our AI integration. You decide who would like to review, edit or approve the content. Your CISO or privacy officer can check it without having to write all the questions themselves.

See where to focus next

In the dashboard, you can see who takes part, how staff answer and where they still need help. You can then revisit specific topics, clarify guidance and choose follow-up activities.

Connect learning, feedback and improvement.

About ISO/IEC 27001 ↗

With Redgrasp, you work on the awareness element of your approach. You also need appropriate technical measures, clear processes and further training. A few practical questions

How often do you send a question?

We agree this together. Once or twice a week, for example, depending on your audience and topics. Start with a manageable frequency and adjust based on participation and feedback.

Do staff need to install an app?

No. Staff receive the quiz question by email. They click their answer, then read the result and explanation on Redgrasp. They can take part on a computer, tablet or phone.

Do we have to write all the questions ourselves?

No. Our Boost team can write the questions and explanations for you and draw on the question bank. You can also create questions and explanations yourself with our AI integration or invite colleagues as subject experts. You choose who would like to review, edit or approve the content.

Do we need a separate e-learning course?

No. You can use microlearning on its own for privacy and security awareness. Staff learn through quiz questions and explanations and practise with familiar situations. If you already have e-learning, you can build on it and link to a further module, protocol or working practice in the explanation.
